Consumers are paying slightly more for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), from today.

According to Government’s Division of Energy, "the retail price of LPG will be increased from $140.97 per 100 lb cylinder to $142.65 per 100 lb cylinder; from $37.83 per 25 lb cylinder to $38.25 per 25lb cylinder; and the20 lb cylinder from $30.26 to $30.60. This amounts to a hike of $1.68 per 100 lb cylinder; 42 cents per 25 lb cylinder; and 34 cents for the 20 lb cylinder."??

Government has a mechanism in place to regulate petroleum prices in a timely manner. To this end, prices are adjusted monthly by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Commerce on the advice of the Division of Energy.

Retail prices therefore fluctuate in accordance with the landed cost of imported petroleum products.
