Minister of Small Business, Entrepreneurship and Commerce, Dwight Sutherland, will tour two supermarket chains on the island on Wednesday, September 26.
The Minister, along with a team of officials from his Ministry, will visit Popular Discounts supermarket, located at Kendal Hill, Christ Church, from 10:30 a.m.
Following the meeting with management and staff, the touring party will journey to Emerald City Supermarket, Six Roads, St. Philip, for another tour, which starts at 12:30 p.m.
The tour of the two establishments forms part of the Ministry’s outreach programme, designed to improve its strategic alliance with all stakeholders.
Minister Sutherland will be accompanied by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Terry Bascombe; Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Bertram Johnson; Deputy Director, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Margaret Campbell-Leslie and a Trading Standards Officer.
