As part of its contribution to the We Gatherin’ 2020 initiative, the Ministry of Small Business, Entrepreneurship and Commerce will host several activities across the island focused on business, entrepreneurship and the micro small and medium-sized enterprises.

The role and function of the Ministry and its various agencies and departments will also be highlighted.

The activities are being planned by the Small Business Development Unit and members of the public are encouraged to come out and learn more about the Ministry as it moves from parish to parish.

This month, with the spotlight on St. Peter, the activities began with the Straight Talk – Open for Business forum on Monday, February 10, at the Alexandra School, Queens Street.

They are expected to continue on Saturday, February 15, and Thursday, February 20. On February 15, there will be a Business Fair/Market Day in Speightstown, as part of Speightstown Alive from 10:00 a.m. The second in the series Straight Talk – Open for Business forum will take place on February 20, at the Boscobelle Pavilion.  It will run from 7:30. to 9:30 p.m.
