The Social Workers of Tomorrow, a group of students from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, will host an Open Day Trade Exposition on Saturday, March 21, at Rices Resource Centre, Rices, St. Philip.

The expo, held in collaboration with the Community Development Department, will run from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The opening ceremony will take place at 4:00 p.m., with performances by reggae artiste Tabitha, and the 2014 Community Dance Fest winners, Motivation Dancers.

The public is invited to attend the event, which will feature a presentation on Chikungunya from the Environmental Health Office, as well as a HIV/AIDS condom demonstration. The Child Care Board will also conduct a sensitisation session on Child Neglect.

In addition, graduates of the jewellery-making course at the Rices Community Centre will showcase their work, while students of the Sargeant???s Village Community Centre will provide aesthetic services, including manicures, pedicures and facials.

Natural soaps and cosmetics will also be on display by graduates of the Aromatherapy workshop, while other small businesses will have their products and services on sale. Entertainment includes a jumping tent, face-painting, a rodeo bull and live music.
