Residents of the Vauxhall Senior Citizens Village are receiving some much-needed attention.
This time, it is coming from social work students of the University of the West Indies. In association with the National Assistance Board, they have established a project entitled "Going Back Down Memory Lane," designed to improve the residents’ social interactive skills and interest levels, while offering time for reminiscing on their earlier years.
"This is important to these residents…The elderly at Vauxhall need a sense of belonging," declared the students.
The project launch will take place at the Senior Citizens Village, Vauxhall, Christ Church, this Wednesday, November 10, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.??sharifa.medford@barbados.gov.bb
