A number of employees on this island???s south coast will undergo training on matters pertaining to productivity next week when The Productivity Council hosts two half-day workshops.

Approximately 70 persons will be trained during the Project GET UP (Getting Everyone To Understand Productivity) initiative which will be held on Tuesday, July 9, at Divi Southwinds, St. Lawrence Main Road; and on Thursday, July 11, in the Training Room, Grantley Adams International Airport, Christ Church.

Project GET UP is the Council???s 20th anniversary educational outreach programme for those organisations which operate within the environs of the south coast, including Hastings, St. Lawrence, Rockley and Oistins.

During the sessions, the participants will learn about the benefits of improved productivity, and they will be exposed to some of the elements necessary to create a productive work environment and produce quality work. They will also have an opportunity to examine the circumstances which may impede performance improvement and develop workable solutions.

The Productivity Council is a statutory organisation entrusted with the mandate of improving and building awareness of productivity among workers in Barbados. It conducts multiple programmes, including seminars on productivity-related topics.
