Special Envoy to Korea, Youn Bok-Lee, has spelt out the reasons why his fellow countryman, Taheo Bark, the country’s Trade Minister, should be selected as the new Director General of the World Trade Organization.

He gave his views during a courtesy call with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Maxine McClean, last Friday at the Ministry’s Culloden Road, St. Michael office.

Mr. Bok-Lee said if successful, Mr. Bark would bring his expertise and life’s lessons in economics to assist with the further growth of developed and developing countries.

Minister McClean gave the assurance that the matter would be discussed at the CARICOM level before the end of the first round selection process next month.
