Wynter Crawford????

A special programme will be staged on Saturday, August 29, as Government re-names the Six Roads Roundabout in St. Philip, after eminent politician and representative of that parish, the late Wynter Crawford.

??Prime Minister David Thompson will deliver the feature address at the 4:00 p.m. ceremony and unveil a plaque to mark the achievements of the late political figure and member of the House of Assembly, who dedicated his life to the development of St. Philip.

Other highlights of the function will be ???Memories of Wynter Crawford’, to be delivered by Deputy Prime Minister, Attorney General and Minister of Home Affairs, Freundel Stuart; an address by Minister of Transport and Works, John Boyce; and a citation by Minister of Economic Affairs, Empowerment, Innovation, Trade, Industry and Commerce, Dr. David Estwick. Member of Parliament for St. Philip South, Adriel Brathwaite, will present a memorial to Mr. Crawford’s family.

The evening’s dedication will also include a cultural presentation, with performances by David McCarthy (Supa D), John King, the Tabia Dance Group and Gabriel Nightengale of the Princess Margaret Secondary School.

The re-naming of the Six Roads Roundabout seeks to honour the life and work of Wynter Crawford, who represented the parish of St. Philip for some 26 years. He dedicated his life to securing better conditions of life for that parish and the people of Barbados in general.
