The English Department of the Springer Memorial School will hold its second Character Day on Thursday, February 21, from 11:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
In response to the theme, ‘Words off the Page’, students as well as some teachers will be wearing costumes which depict their favourite characters from novels, short stories, other genres of literature and film.
There will also be display booths and a games corner where students’ knowledge about the characters they portray will be tested.
The event is part of the department’s overall commitment to foster a love for reading and to celebrate both Caribbean and European writers.
All are invited.
