The Student Revolving Loan Fund (SRLF), today, donated $5,000 to the Eden Lodge Youth Charitable Trust.

The official presentation was held at the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, St. Michael.

Loans Manager, Suzanne Griffith, said the Management Committee was pleased to offer financial support, acknowledging that such assistance “was needed even more now”, given the current circumstances.

“Not only is such a donation consistent with our desire to give back to our community, but it also allows us to provide financial assistance to youth to assist them to strive to achieve academic excellence, which is central to what we do as an organisation,” Ms. Griffith added.

On accepting the donation, Public Relations Officer for the Trust, Billie-June Langdon, expressed her gratitude to the management and staff of the SRLF, noting that the charity had seen an increase in requests for assistance, due to the fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I want to thank the Student Revolving Loan Fund for this generous donation to our charity.  I know it will go a long way in [helping] us to achieve our many goals … in assisting many needy families around Barbados.  We are thrilled to have your support and we look forward to your continued support,” Ms. Langdon said.
