The Sanitation Service Authority (SSA) will be conducting mass collections in five rural parishes this week.

The exercise began today Monday December 18 in St. Joseph, St. John, St. Philip and Christ Church, and will continue in those areas on Tuesday,  December 19, between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, December 20, the collections will be done in St. Lucy between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Refuse collection in all other parishes will be carried out be as usual.

The Sanitation Service Authority is also reminding the public that chemicals, dead animals, glass, body fluids, faeces, paint, asbestos, fiberglass or any other hazardous waste, should not be included in household waste.
