Residents of St. Andrew are encouraged to support the St. Andrew Parish Independence Committee by participating in the many activities it will be hosting during September.

There will be a fun walk from Conrad Hunte Sports Club to Barclays Park on Saturday, September 3, starting at 6:00 a.m. and a service at the New Testament Church of God in Shorey Village, on Sunday, September 4, commencing at 10:00 a.m.

A karaoke session will follow on Thursday, September 8, from 7:00 p.m., a quiz night on Thursday, September 15, at The Alleyne School, beginning at 7:30, and a Coastal Zone Management Unit beach clean up on Saturday, September 17. A senior citizens’ bus ride to King George V Memorial Park, St. Philip is planned for Sunday, September 18. It will be free to all senior citizens 60 years and over.

On Thursday, September 22, an Arbor Day Tree Planting exercise will be carried out at Belleplaine Primary School, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The curtain will come down on the activities with a ???Crab Night’ on Friday, September 23, from 8:00 p.m. at Long Pond, East Coast Road.
