The St. Andrew Parish Independence Committee will kick off its parish month activities with the first event, CricketFest, this Sunday, August 2.

It will be held at Belleplaine Pasture, Belleplaine, St. Andrew, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The next day, Monday, August 3, will be Exercise A Rama by Victor Goddard,also at Belleplaine Pasture, beginning at 3:00 p.m.

On Sunday, August 16, the committee will host a Health Walk with the Seventh Day Adventist Church, from Isolation Cavaliers Grounds to Bruce Vale and back, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

The following Sunday, August 23, A St. Andrew Cultural Perspective…a conversation with Minister John King, will take place at the Sand Dunes Bar & Restaurant, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Crab Night at Long Pond will be held on Friday, August 28, at 6:00 p.m.

The month of events will come to a close with the Multi-Faith Church Service, on Sunday, August 30, at the Alleyne School, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend and meet the committee members: Chairperson Roger Hutson, Deputy Chairperson Sharon Sealy, Secretary Danielle Simmons, Treasurer Zhara Khan, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer Kimberley Carrington, Public Relations Officer, Keyon Watson, and Floor members, Warick Piggott, Lana Alleyne, Kelvin Yearwood and Damian Greaves.
