The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training wishes to inform parents and guardians that the St. Boniface Nursery School, located at Sion Hill, St. James, will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 24, to facilitate roof works and to continue ongoing remedial work to the entrances at the school.

The Ministry further informs of the new locations for displaced students of the Lawrence T. Gay Memorial Primary School.

They are: Class 1 and Class 2 students will report to The Church of Christ the King Anglican Church, Rock Dundo, St. Michael on  Monday, January 27. Class 3 students will report to Jackson Seventh Day Adventist Church, Jackson, St. Michael, also on Monday, January 27.

Reception, Infants A and Infants B students will report to Ebenezer Seventh Day Adventist Church, Eden Lodge St. Michael on Tuesday, January 28. Class 4 students will continue to be housed at the Grace Hill Moravian Church.

Testing is ongoing by the Ministry of Labour and Social Partnership Relations, and the Environmental Protection Department has been engaged to find solutions to eliminate the environmental problems surrounding the Lawrence T. Gay Memorial School.

REA Envirohealth will also continue to work with the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training to monitor the air quality on the plant.

A meeting will be arranged by the Ministry to brief parents at a date soon to be announced.
