The St. James Parish Independence Committee will be staging two events over the next few days which residents are being encouraged to support.

On Tuesday, October 19, the third lecture in the series From Plantation to Platinum Coast will come off at the New Testament Church of God, Piggott’s Road, (the street after Jordan’s Supermarket going north), Fitts Village, St. James. It will begin at 7:00 p.m. and Morris Greenidge will be the presenter.

There will be a heritage hike on Saturday, October 23, travelling through Apes’ Hill and various gullies. Persons participating in this educational and fun activity should meet at Baywoods Community Centre, Baywoods, St. James, at 6:00 a.m.
