June will be a month of celebration for residents of St. John as its Parish Independence Committee (PIC) hosts several activities for ???Parish Month’, which will get under way this weekend.

The events commence with a homecoming service and parish project launch on Sunday, June 13, at Messiah’s House, Messiah Street, St. John, at 10:00 a.m.

On Saturday, June 19, a Heritage Empowerment Walk will kick off from Codrington College at 7:00 a.m. participants will travel along the route of Society Primary School, Codrington High School, Holy Cross Anglican Church, Reece Courthouse and end at the Lodge School in Society, St. John.

On the following day, residents will give thanks during a church service at the Faith Temple in Wilson Hill, St. John, starting at 8:00 a.m.

The activities culminate on Saturday, June 26, with the Parish Talent Show at the Gall Hill Community Centre at 5:30 p.m. During the event, the best of parish talent in song, dance and drama will be on display.

All residents and interested persons are invited to show their support and attend the events.
