It will be a day of fun and frolic on Easter Monday, April 5, when the St. Lucy Parish Independence Committee hosts its Kite Flying Competition at the Checker Hall Playing Field, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Prizes will be given to the smallest, largest, most colourful, most original, highest flying and most acrobatic kites. Special prizes will be awarded to the best turned out school, church or community group.

There will also be a treasure hunt during the day and refreshments will be on sale.
