The St. Lucy Parish Independence Committee will host its parish month activities in July.

The activities will begin with a church service on Sunday, July 7, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Swithun’s Anglican Church, Greenidges.

The following Saturday, July 13, at 6:00 p.m., the committee will host an ‘Ole Time Cookout’, at Josey Hill.

On Saturday, July 20, the committee, in association with BajanFusion, will host, ‘Seh We Hey!’ – a Health and Heritage Walk, which begins at Checker Hall Pavilion, travels to Harrison Point Lighthouse and back to Checker Hall.

Persons are asked to wear white and meet at Checker Hall Playing Field for 5:45 a.m.  There is a registration fee, which is inclusive of a registration number, water and a chance to win prizes.

On the same day, from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m., Mass Community Connect will take place at various points across the parish, where committee members will speak with parishioners.

The next day, Sunday, July 21, a church service will be held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Garden Club, at Connell Town Pentecostal House of Prayer, Connell Town, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Later that week, on Friday, July 26, persons are encouraged to wear the parish colour – Jade Green, for Parish Colour Day.

The month of activities will come to a close the following day, Saturday, July 27, with a cake sale, at Rubis Service Station, Benthams, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
