The St. Michael North Constituency Council, in collaboration with the Eden Lodge Independence Tournament Committee, will host a Bajan Fun Day on Monday, November 30, Independence Day.
The activities will get under way at 6:30 a.m. with a community road race and it will be followed by athletics/obstacle races at 10:30 a.m. and a junior football match at 4:00 p.m.
The presentation of athletics awards will be made at 4:30 p.m. and this will be followed by a netball game at 5:00 p.m.
The third-place football play-offs will begin at 6:00 a.m.; and the Independence tournament finals at 7:00 p.m. The trophy presentation ceremony will take place at 9:00 p.m. and the curtain will come down on the fun day at 11:00 p.m.
Bajan food and drinks will be on sale and the day’s entertainment will be provided by a popular disc jockey.
Residents of the area and its environs are urged to come out and support the St. Michael North Constituency Council as Barbados celebrates 43 years of Independence.
