In an effort to foster community preparedness and to revive the St. Michael North East District Emergency Organisation (DEO), the Department of Emergency Management (DEM) has scheduled a meeting for residents of that area on Thursday, May 19, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Church of the Resurrection in Green Hill, St. Michael.
The meeting’s aim is to sensitise persons about the role they can play in community disaster preparedness by joining the DEO, and key representatives of the DEM will be present to discuss that organisation’s role in a hazard event.
Attorney General and Minister of Home Affairs, Adriel Brathwaite will attend the meeting and deliver the feature address.??
