St. Michael Parish Ambassadors, Kerry Rollins and Crystal Providence, along with their Attendant, Maria Mapp, recently got another opportunity to continue their outreach efforts in the community.

They attended a fund raising charity event for the Nightengale Children’s Home at Deacons Playing Field, Deacons Farm, St. Michael.

During the function, the ambassadors and attendant promoted their parish project, Operation Solar: Illuminating the Past . . . Powering the Future; presented copies of worksheets and colouring books to the Home; and played games with the children, among other things.

An official said the ambassadors and attendant were "warmly welcomed" by all, with the children being "extremely pleased" to meet them. The spokesperson added that the "aunties" were "thrilled" at learning that the St. Michael Parish Independence Committee would be working with the Home this year.

"The St. Michael Parish Independence Committee is looking forward to working together with the Nightengale Children’s Home and, by extension, children in the nearby communities," the official stated.
