The St. Michael School has been given a new $150,000.00 bus.?? It was donated today by members of the school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

The presentation was made by President of the PTA, Stephanie Proverbs-Bennett, who said that the vehicle represented the fulfillment of a need that the institution had for some time.

Minister of Education and Human Resource Development, Ronald Jones, lauded the PTA for its contribution to the school, stating that it would be useful for transportation to and from sporting activities, as well as for educational tours.

He also commended staff at the school for their high quality of work as evidenced in the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) results.

Principal Shelton Perkins thanked the PTA for its donation, and urged students to "cherish their gift".?? He also advised them to show their appreciation for the bus by displaying proper decorum and desisting from engaging in any conduct that might result in the bus’ interior being damaged.??The school administrator added that rules would be put in place to govern use of the vehicle.
