Following its official handover on Monday, August 1, the commemorative Broken Trident will continue its journey across St. Michael this month, with stops at several churches and places of business.

On Wednesday, August 10, the symbolic Broken Trident will be hosted by the Broad Street branch of Cave Shepherd, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It will also be on display at the Old City Bar, Palmetto Square, The City, on Saturday, August 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and at the National Petroleum Corporation, Wildey, on Friday, August 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic will welcome the Broken Trident on Monday, August 22, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., while Carlton Supermarket, Black Rock, will have its turn the next day, Tuesday, August 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Persons visiting Sandy Crest Medical Centre on Saturday, August 27, will have an opportunity to view the commemorative Trident between 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., as will shoppers at Pricesmart on Tuesday, August 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Churches in St. Michael will also play host to the commemorative Broken Trident. Ephesus Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church, Dalkeith, will receive the Trident on Saturday, August 13; Breath of Life SDA, Whitehall, on Saturday, August 20; and Jackson SDA, on Saturday, August 27.

St. Ambrose Anglican Church will receive the symbolic Trident on Sunday, August 14, from 7:30 a.m., while Abundant Life Assembly will have its turn that same day. The following Sunday, August 21, it will be on display at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Roman Catholic Church, Black Rock, from 3:30 to 10:00 p.m. All Souls Anglican Church and Chapel Gap Church of the Nazarene will welcome the Trident on Sunday, August 28, at 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., respectively.

Since January, the commemorative Broken Trident has travelled to St. George, St. Thomas, St. Peter, Christ Church, St. James, St. John and St. Lucy. It will traverse all 11 parishes before it is permanently housed in a monument to be erected at the Garrison Savannah.
