Speightstown will be a hive of activity this Saturday, March 31, when the St. Peter Constituency Council hosts its Health Fair and Market Day.?? It will take place at the Barbados Tourism Investment (BTI) car park from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Residents of St. Peter and surrounding districts are invited to attend the event which will have a variety of items on sale, including art, craft, food, clothes, plants and vegetables.
Representatives from a number of health organisations will also be on hand to conduct free health checks and to provide HIV and AIDS counselling, as well as to give information on dentistry, pharmaceuticals and polyclinic services. There will also be jumping tents, face painting and storytelling for children.
The event aims to promote healthy lifestyles and a spirit of entrepreneurship within the community.
