Residents of St. Peter are invited to participate in the St. Peter Parish Independence Committee’s (PIC) panel discussion scheduled for Wednesday, July 27, from 7.30 until 9.15 p.m. in the Alexandra School Hall.

The topic is Trade & Commerce in and out of Speightstown – the extent to which maritime/marine activity have shaped the parish of St. Peter and fashioned the lives and livelihoods of its residents.

Panellists include CARICOM Ambassador and historian Robert “Bobby” Morris; Lawyer and boat-owner, Mortimer Clarke; former Social Studies/History teacher at Frederick Smith Secondary School, Martin Ramsay and long-standing Speightstown resident, Myrtle Burnett.

The moderator will be resident of St. Peter and member of the St. Peter Project Committee, Aird Atherley.
