The Customs Department is reminding its stakeholders that they must register in the Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA) World, which will be implemented on September 1.

To be registered in the system, all trade stakeholders, including anyone importing or exporting, carriers, carrier agents, consolidators and brokers, should visit http://asycuda.customs.gov.bb, go to the Downloads tab, click on Documentation, and then User Access Application Form.

According to an official at Customs, users must download the form and print it, paying special attention to the requirements outlined. The completed form must be taken to the ASYCUDA World Project Implementation Unit, Barbados Port Inc. Building, University Row, St. Michael, from Monday to Friday, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.             For further information on the registration process, persons may contact the ASYCUDA World Project Implementation Unit by emailing awproject@customs.gov.bb or calling the Customs Department at 535-8700/8701/8702.
