The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development wishes to inform the public of the following:

  • (i) Classes at Alexandra School will be held from 9.00 a.m. to 2.15 p.m. each school day commencing Monday, April 23.
  • (ii) The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development is aware that persons are concerned about the preparation for external examinations by the Caribbean Examinations Council for the fourth and fifth form students of the Alexandra School. Please note that all School Based Assessments (SBA) for CSEC Examinations 2012 have been completed for the Alexandra School;
  • (iii) In addition, provision has also been made by the administration of the Alexandra School for those students taking CSEC examinations to acquire additional examination preparation strategies;
  • (iv) All fifth form students at all public secondary schools will proceed on Examination Leave on Monday, April 30.

The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development takes this opportunity to thank all the teachers who are going beyond the call of duty to ensure that the students of the Alexandra School are taught and that the high standards for which the school is known are maintained.

The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development will continue to monitor the operations at the Alexandra School to ensure that the curriculum is delivered in a manner consistent with our mandate.
