The Ministry of Health, the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) and the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) stand ready to discuss all matters related to the south coast sewage spills with residents and business owners in the area.

However, the three departments will not be represented at the town hall meeting, scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, February 15, which will be hosted by Barbados Labour Party candidate for Christ Church West, Dr. William Duguid.

This is due to the unavailability of BWA General Manager, Keithroy Halliday, who is out of the island conducting business on behalf of the BWA.

The Ministry of Health advised Dr. Duguid on Monday, February 12, that in order to fully respond to the matters identified by him as areas of concern for constituents, it was important that the BWA be represented.

Dr. Duguid has therefore been informed that officials from the Ministry, the BWA and the EPD are willing to participate in any future discussions once the full team is available.
