The Ministry of Environment and National Beautification is aware that some workers employed under the Sargassum Seaweed Clean-up Programme have not received some of their payments for January 2022.
The Ministry wishes to apologise to those affected workers, and assures them that all efforts are being made to rectify the situation in the shortest possible time.
It advises that while delays in payments may be experienced from time to time, this is largely due to technical challenges with various financial institutions.
The Ministry also advises workers experiencing difficulties in being paid to submit their information (name, contact details and the name of their supervisor) so that the matter can be resolved.
