Persons are being urged to stick to the appointment times allotted for their COVID-19 vaccinations.

Co-coordinator of the National Vaccination Programme, Major David Clarke, said that some people with appointments for their second doses were arriving at the designated sites way too early.

He further added that in some instances, those who were given afternoon appointments were turning up in the morning for their vaccinations, long before the site was open.

Major Clarke stressed that this practice resulted in long wait times and overcrowding at the vaccination sites, which only sought to frustrate everyone involved.  He said showing up too early or late for appointments was not recommended.

He asked members of the public to arrive 15 minutes before the appointment times they were given to make the process more seamless.
