Secondary teachers will, this Friday, October 28, be exposed to the principles of student leadership.

This is when the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development hosts a seminar on Developing Student Leaders in the training room of the Media Resource Department at its headquarters at the Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, St. Michael.

The training will target teachers who are responsible for students’ councils and those who would have been trained in the Schools’ Positive Behaviour Management Programme (SPBMP).

It is aimed at equipping teachers to facilitate the development of leadership attitudes and skills in youth.

It runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The main facilitator for the session is National Technical Officer for the SPBMP, Nicole Lynch.??
