The entries for the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Children’s Environmental Poster Contest have been submitted as the deadline, Monday, January 10, draws near.

Competitors will have their work mounted at the Ministry of Tourism on Wednesday, January 12, where four representatives from the National Cultural Foundation, the Natural Heritage Department and the news media will judge the pieces on creativity, content, quality of presentation and relevance to theme.

Entrants had to choose an environmental awareness topic and create a poster to illustrate three ways their destination could make a difference in preserving the environment.

The winners in the Junior Division (ages 12 and under) and the Senior Division (ages 13 to 16) will be chosen on Wednesday; but that will not be the end of the line for the successful entries.?? The two winning pieces will be sent to Florida, along with posters from other regional competitors, where they will be judged, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in both categories will be announced.?? Both the winners and their schools will be awarded US$3000, US$1500 and US$1000, respectively.
