Class 4 students of the Hillaby/Turner’s Hall Primary School will engage in “climate change talks” with students from the Ketcham Elementary School in Washington D.C. through a live online “link-up”.

The initiative, which is organised by the Embassy of Barbados in the US, is a part of the 2018 Embassy Adoption Programme.  The online link-up will take place tomorrow, Friday, June 8, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hillaby/Turner’s Hall Primary School, Farmer’s, St. Thomas.

At that time, the Barbadian students will meet their counterparts from Ketcham Elementary School, who will be at the embassy in Washington D.C. to participate in the online discussions.

Ambassador Selwin Hart will give the welcome address and students from each school will make presentations on the topic: “How does climate change affect my community and my country, and what can I do to reduce my carbon footprint.”
