As part of ongoing efforts to increase public awareness about Intellectual Property Rights and the importance of respecting those rights, the Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office (CAIPO) will host an ???Open Day??? on Friday, April 24.

The ???Open Day??? will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at CAIPO’s Baobab Tower, Warrens Office and will coincide with World Intellectual Property Day which is being observed on Sunday, April 26.

This year, approximately 30 students from the Lester Vaughan Secondary and the Sharon Primary Schools will tour the Intellectual Property Office.

Several small business owners will also display their products/services in the front area of the Building???s car park.The outreach programme will continue on Saturday, April 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Heroes??? Square, the City, when CAIPO staff will distribute intellectual property literature and interact with the public.??Officers from the Copyright Association of Composers, Authors and Publishers will also attend.
