The Ministry of Transport, Works and Maintenance is inviting suggestions from the public on ways to effectively improve Barbados’ transportation system.

The Ministry is reaching out to the public to better understand its needs and how it feels about ways in which customer service excellence in transport can be improved; road safety; the attraction and development of new talents and skills in transport; the delivery of proper road infrastructure; the improvement of services provided by the Public Service Vehicles, as well as the Transport Board and how Barbados can best transition to a fossil fuel free transport society.

Ideas will be deliberated by all of the relevant stakeholders at a National Consultation on Land Transport, to be held at the end of February. Persons may send their recommendations via email, to mtwm@barbados.gov.bb, or call Mark Durant at 536-0027.

The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, February 20.
