Members of the public now have an opportunity to learn a skill or improve their talents when the Barbados Investment & Development Corporation (BIDC) offers summer courses in three craft disciplines – fish net making, basketry or woodwork.
Participants will learn to craft a range of products including shoe racks, wooden frames for mirrors, mortars and pestles, pandanus fans, cabbage-bark baskets and fish nets.
The courses will run from July 2 to 31, on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. at the Pelican Craft Centre, Pelican, St. Michael.
