Students who deferred taking the 2014 Barbados Secondary Schools??? Entrance Examination (BSSEE), will get the opportunity to improve their knowledge this summer.

This is when the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation conducts its Summer School Primary from Tuesday, July 8 to Thursday July 31, at George Lamming Primary School, Flint Hall, St. Michael.??It will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily.

The programme is aimed at improving performance, skills and conceptual understanding in areas of difficulty related to Language Arts, Mathematics and Reading.

Participants will be exposed to study skills, as well as confidence-building activities, and the Ministry???s holistic approach is expected to assist in strengthening the emotional dimension of student interactions.

The students will also make use of various technological learning tools and participate in extra-curricular activities.??Summer School Primary will officially open on Tuesday, July 8, at 9:00 a.m. Senior Education Officer (Ag), Fernando Carter, will address the students and parents.
