The Coastal Zone Management Unit (CZMU) is hosting another Sundown Beach Walk, this time in the south of the island.
Slated to be held on Saturday, November 6, beginning at 3:00 p.m. sharp, it will start at Long Beach in Christ Church, and end at Gemswick, St. Philip.
Persons seeking bus transportation are asked to assemble at the CZMU’s car park at 2:00 p.m. for a prompt 2:15 p.m. departure. Return transportation will also be provided to the CZMU.
Bus tickets may be collected from that department or Ministry of Tourism from Monday, November 1, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tickets are limited and will, therefore, be available on a first come first served basis.
The walk will be over rough terrain, and, as such, participants are advised to wear appropriate clothing, namely loose fitting clothes and walking shoes or sneakers. Close fitting attire, slippers and similar footwear should not be worn.
Instructions pertaining to the upcoming independence trivia game to be hosted by the CZMU will also be printed at the back of the bus tickets.??cgaskin@barbados.gov.bb
