It’s Sundown Beach walk time again!

Nature lovers will have the opportunity to enjoy the island’s scenic south coast later this month, when the Coastal Zone Management Unit (CZMU) hosts the next Sundown Beach Walk.

Slated to take place on Saturday, May 29, at 3:15 p.m. sharp, it will begin at Ragged Point, St. Philip and end at Harrismith Bay in that same parish. As usual, bus transportation will be provided to and from the CZMU in Bay Street, St. Michael.

Persons requiring bus transportation are asked to collect tickets from the CZMU on weekdays, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. They are also asked to assemble at the CZMU’s car park by 2:00 p.m.on the day of the walk to prepare for a prompt 2:15 p.m. departure.

Organisers have advised participants to wear comfortable clothing, and to come prepared to "walk over challenging terrain" including on cliff tops and the coastline.

Loose fitting clothing and walking shoes or sneakers are preferred, while close fitting garments and flip flops are not advisable.
