The Special Envoy for Persons with Disabilities, Roslyn Hurley, is urging the public to donate items for persons with disabilities in Dominica, who have been affected by Hurricane Maria.

The drive, which is being conducted in collaboration with the National Disabilities Unit and the Barbados Council for the Disabled, seeks to gather items tailored for this segment of the affected communities.

These items are: adult diapers, baby formula, wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, bed pans, basic medical supplies, sleeping cots, blankets, water, canned foods and toiletries.

Interested persons are asked to take their donations to the National Disabilities Unit, National Union of Public Workers Headquarters, Dalkeith, St. Michael, before Monday, October 9.
