Minister of Family, Culture, Sports and Youth, Stephen Lashley??

The National Task Force for the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons will be officially launched tomorrow at the Hilton Barbados at 6.30 p.m.

The event will see members of the Task Force and its terms of reference being outlined.

Minister of Family, Culture, Sports and Youth, Stephen Lashley, will deliver the feature address, while Attorney General and Chairperson of the Task Force, Adriel Brathwaite; Director of the Bureau of Gender Affairs, Patricia Hackett-Codrington; Charg?? d’ Affaires at the United States Embassy, Christopher Sandrolini; and Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (Defence and Security), Edison Alleyne, will make remarks.

Representatives from the13-member body include the Ministries of Foreign Affairs; Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Community Development; and Family, Culture, Sports and Youth. Officials from the Royal Barbados Police Force, the Immigration Department, the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Barbados and the Barbados Red Cross are also represented on the body.
