Over 40 teachers from the island’s primary and secondary schools will spend the Easter Holidays at the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development attending a series of induction courses on the use of multi-media technology.

A collaborative effort between the Ministry and Erdiston Teachers’ Training College, the aim is to assist educators with the integration of technology in lesson preparation.

The courses will include An Introduction to the Video Camera from April 2 to 4, and training on The Use of the Digital Camera and SMART Technology from April 3 to 5.?? These will be held mainly at the Media Resource Department and in the Main Conference Room of the Ministry, located at the Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, St. Michael.

It is expected that at the end of the sessions, teachers will be able to effectively utilise multi-media technology in all spheres of education.

Audio Visual Aids Officers and Schools Liaison Officers will facilitate the training which will run from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. daily.
