The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) wishes to inform the public that from March 13 to 16, 2020, there will be temporary access changes to the Accident and Emergency Department (AED) for motorists and pedestrians, as workmen prepare the site for renovations and expansion.

During this period, the area containing the ambulance bay and a section of the stretch leading to the AED entrance will be restricted.

As a result, both regular and emergency vehicles will utilize the road next to the staff car park to access the AED.  This road will now facilitate two-way traffic.

Private vehicles will not be allowed to drive under the canopy, so persons seeking medical care are asked to disembark in the designated area on the roadway next to the AED entrance.  The canopy is now reserved for ambulances only. Security personnel will be on site to assist with these changes.

The Board of Management of the QEH apologizes for any inconvenience caused, and thanks the public for its patience and support.
