The deadline is approaching for all eligible firms from member countries of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), to undertake a consultancy review and update of the Barbados National Standards, published by the Barbados National Standards Institution.
The assignment will be for a six month period, and would involve the development of an appropriate and sustainable methodological approach to reviewing the Barbados National Standards.
According to the Project Coordinator of the Modernisation of the Barbados National Standards Systems Project, Fabian Griffin, the methodology must "remain relevant and applicable, following the completion of the consultancy".
Interested firms must show evidence of past experience in working on such projects.?? In addition, they should have skilled personnel who possess a post graduate degree in pure or natural sciences, or any related discipline, with at least five years experience in writing and developing standards.
Alternatively, the selected workers should have a bachelor’s degree in pure or natural sciences, or a related discipline, plus at least ten years experience in writing or developing standards, or possess at least 15 years experience in writing or developing standards.
