Ryan Brathwaite

Barbadians will get another chance to show their appreciation for the outstanding achievement of World Championship gold medal hurdler, Ryan Brathwaite, at an interdenominational thanksgiving service being held in his honour, this Sunday, September 20.

The service, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, will get under way from 3:00 p.m., but members of the public must be seated by 2:45 p.m.??

Buses will leave Turners Hall, Hillaby, Farmers and Whitehall promptly at 1:45 p.m. to transport those persons without vehicles, who wish to attend the service.

The opening prayer will be said by Rev. Dr. Michael A. Clarke of the St. Thomas Parish Church, with opening remarks by member of the 13:14 Gold Committee, Clifton Forde.

A worship session will follow, with further prayers by Elder of the Hillaby Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cecil Cummins; Pastor of the Shiloh Apostolic Deliverance Church, Timothy Howard; and member of the Hillaby community, Pastor Edla Lowe.??????????????????

Also included in the programme will be tributes by member of the St. Thomas Church, Jasmay Edwards; member of the Hillaby Christian Mission Church, Marion Hinds; and the Acting Minister of Youth, Family and Sports, Senator Irene Sandiford-Garner.?? Solos will be rendered by Paula Hinds and Marissa Lee, while Morris Lee of the White Hill Ebenezer Gospel Hall will deliver the sermon.??

Signing for the hearing impaired will be done by Ionia Springer and Bonnie Leonce.??
