Art and cultural enthusiasts will get an opportunity to learn more about one of Barbados’ most colourful characters, the late King Dyall, when the Commission for Pan African Affairs’ (CPAA) exhibition/panel lunch-time discussions, Living Downstairs, continue in the West Wing of Parliament next week.

On Wednesday, January 18, starting at noon, nine-time Pic-O-De-Crop Calypso Monarch, Anthony "Gabby" Carter; Art Collector, Denis McIntosh, and Artist, Omowale Stewart, will discuss Who Was King Dyall?

The following Wednesday, January 25, the late Jackie Opel’s contribution to the development of Spouge will come in to sharp focus during a talk entitled: Jackie Opel: The Tragedy and Lessons for Culture.

Panellists for this event, which also begins at noon, are Art Researcher, Elizabeth Watson; Artist, Ras Aykem Ramsey; and Musician, Antonio "Boo" Rudder.

Admission to the public is free, and further information may be obtained by contacting the CPAA, at 228-8757/8758.
