Members of the public are invited to the Archives Department’s third Genealogy Marketplace event, on Thursday, November 16, on the grounds of the Archives Department, Black Rock, St. Michael, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The event, which is being held in collaboration with the Barbados Tourism Product Authority, forms part of the week of activities celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Barbados-Carolinas connection.
Patrons will be treated to a genealogy workshop where persons can research their family histories; various presentations; screenings of a feature on Barbadian centenarians entitled: 100 and Going Strong; and several booths dedicated to the various cultures found within Barbados.
