The Ministry of Health’s fogging programme will target three parishes across the island next week.

On Monday, December 15, the team from the Vector Control Unit will go to districts in St. Peter. Maynards Tenantry, Maynards Development, Rose Hill, Benn Hill, Golden Mile, Golden Mile Terrace, Heywoods, Six Mens and the environs will be fogged.

The following day, Tuesday, December 6, the team will visit St. Peter and fog Carlton, Porters, Mullins, Rock Dundo, Brathwaite Road, Major Walk, Farm Road, Burma Road and the nearby districts.

On Wednesday, December 7, it will be the turn of St. Michael residents. Fogging will be carried out in President Kennedy Drive, Westbury Road, Westbury New Road, Fitz Gap, Phillip Gap, School Gap, Pounders, Grants Gap, Parris Gap with Avenues, Blanche Gap, Goodland, Marine Square, 1st and 2nd Avenue Goodland, Deacons Road, Headley Road, Odle Road, Farnum Road and the environs.

The exercise continues on Thursday, December 8, when the team moves to fog the St. James districts of Hoytes Village, Hoytes Terrace, Holders Hill, John Plains, Bagatelle Terrace, Bennetts Tenantry, Arch Hall and the surrounding areas.

St. Michael will be revisited on Friday, December 2. Fogging will occur in West Terrace 1st-16th Avenue, West Terrace Road, Husbands Heights, Husbands Gardens, Croton Drive, Husbands Development and the environs.

Residents are asked to open their windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate. Persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog. Pedestrians and motorists are asked to proceed with caution when encountering fogging operations on the street. Parents are instructed to prohibit children from playing in the fog or running behind the fogging machine.
