Tickets for the National Senior Games 2013, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 29, at the National Stadium, are now available.
Tickets may be purchased from CS Pharmacy, Broad Street; Carlton Supermarket, Black Rock, St. Michael; Emerald City Supermarket, Six Roads, St. Philip; Fisherman’s Pub, Speightstown, St. Peter; Joe’s Pharmacy, Oistins, Christ Church; or Sports & Games Ltd., Corner James & Roebuck Streets, The City.
Ticket holders will have an opportunity to win one of the many door prizes including: a one-night stay at Divi Southwinds Beach Resort; dinner for two at Hilton Barbados; breakfast for two at Accra Beach Hotel and Spa, or vouchers from Chefette Restaurants.
The Games, which is hosted by the Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Community Development, will run from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and will display the athletic prowess of this island’s seniors in a number of track and field events.
Additionally, spectators will have an opportunity to receive a variety of health checks and obtain information from representatives of Seven Seas Limited. There will also be a play area for children, and food, drinks and other items will be on sale.
