As Barbados moves into the height of its tourist season, the Ministry of Tourism and International Transport recently held a number of activities to honour and entertain tourists and visitors alike.

One such event was a Tourism Workers??? Parade which saw approximately 300 industry stakeholders travel from the Bridgetown Port to Independence Square via Trevor???s Way, Cheapside, Broad Street and Bridge Street.

Among those persons on parade were the Mounted Troop and Band of the Royal Barbados Police Force, the Sea Cadets, Boy Scouts, Brownies, Parish Ambassadors, visitors and citizens, and a large contingent of tourism workers.

Other activities included a Bajan Pride Expo held at the Belfield Playing Field, Black Rock; visits to local businesses which offer unique services to tourists and visitors; a Tourism Got Talent show, which was a Tourism Workers??? event held at the Barbados Concorde Experience; and the launch of Speightstown Sizzlin???, which was held in the Speightstown Esplanade.??The activities were organised by the Barbados Tourism Product Authority.
